Holy Week was all gentle rains and low scudding clouds at Littlemore. The browns and early greens of our tall-grass prairie were as vivid as a fresh watercolor. Nature’s resurrection continues a pace.
One’s thoughts turn to the stupendous fact of Our Lord’s leaving the deep courtesy of Heaven to redeem fallen man. Our hope is that your Easter was joyful and holy.

Recently, we acquired the first edition of a small book of devotions to the Eucharist, published in London in 1790. The London bookseller we purchased it from believes it was published by English Jesuits. Certainly, the intensity of its devotion to the Sacred Heart tends to confirm this view.
We’ve reproduced it in contemporary font on our best paper. The English is elegant and the short booklet is written with such economy of expression that it can be read quickly before the Sacrament.
Since it had no title, a priest friend suggested that we name it Notate Bene, for “Note Well.” Do please visit our website to learn more about this beautiful reproduction and to read the descriptions of our many other publications.
