The fields at Littlemore lie fallow under their snow covering. The wind, out of the northwest, is relentless this morning. The only signs of life are the game birds that nest in the tall grasses of the prairie remnant outside our office.
It's the dead of winter in northwest Iowa. But the days are getting longer and the sun is brighter and higher in the sky. Soon it will be Lent followed by Easter and the planting season.
Time and eternity are mysteries. Yet they seem to melt into each other as the seasons fly by. We've planted our mustard seed this winter: catholictruthsociety.com began operation in January.
Our commitment is to a range of books and devotional works of the highest quality for every level of reader. We're very new but we're stocking our site daily.
At catholictruthsociety.com, we believe in the great Chesterton's "democracy of the dead." Our prayer books move across the history of the Church from the ancient (yet ever new) devotions of the Church Fathers to first-rate contemporary writers-and practically everything in between.
To think with the mind of the Church is to breathe the very air of sanity. To unite your hearts in prayer with the faithful, living and dead, is sublime. Please visit our website to see our titles. We like to call them "books for the journey."
Won't you join us on this exciting journey?
May His Church rejoice in quiet devotion,
Ron Klemme

P.S.-Our Irish Jesuit friends have graciously allowed us to distribute their Messenger Publications booklets in the United States. We highly recommend their magazine The Sacred Heart Messenger. The writing is lively and the Jesuits' love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus shines through its pages.
